Coaching Staff
All coaches at Mic Mac Rowing are certified by Rowing Canada Aviron, and each has completed Emergency First Aid / CPR (level 3), small boat operators license, and has been approved through the Criminal Records check with HRM police.
Pat Cody is coaching the competitive athletes (Junior, Senior and Masters).  Pat previously coached at MicMac and at Fredericton Rowing Club, and has won various medals at national regattas.   He has his Level III Coaching Certificate.  Pat lives here in Dartmouth, and is a phys-ed teacher with HRSB. He is instrumental in providing coaching leadership at MicMac.
Morgan Knickle-Smith will be coaching the Juniors and the Learn-to-Row programs.   Morgan rowed with the varsity team at Queens University and will be returning to study at Dalhousie next semester.   Morgan has a variety of experience working with youth including peer leadership, mentoring and coaching both swimming and volleyball.
Alex Fraughton will be coaching the Recreational program and assisting with the Juniors program.   Alex is from Halifax and has coached and rowed at Halifax Rowing Club for the past several years.   Alex was a member of the Nova Scotia Canada Games Rowing Team in 2009.  He will be attending NSCC Dartmouth Campus this fall.  He also works part time with Row Nova Scotia.
