Program:
Created for fun, fitness, competition and the enjoyment of rowing, Mic Mac AAC Rowing strives to provide a positive environment for Jr. / Sr. high school rowers to participate in the sport of rowing. The Jr. / Sr. high after school program is targeted towards those youth who wish to participate in a new sport and experience competition. All participants are invited to race locally. Sr. high athletes are welcome to participate in the selection process to attend the Canadian Secondary Schools Rowing Association Regatta (School Boy). As a Jr. / Sr. high school rower, the club will provide coaching and the equipment necessary to participate fully in the sport.

Guidelines:

  • Rowers are asked to arrive at the Club at 4:00pm sharp, ensuring that the participants can utilize the full 1 ½ hours of rowing. If participants arrive late, it is left to the Coach’s discretion to determine if they participate in planned program for the day.
  • Athletes MUST attend all scheduled practices unless otherwise arranged with the Coach.
  • All competitive athletes are required to commit to and follow the prescribed training program, complete testing, and participate in selection as required.
  • All selection of crews will be made by the Coach for the Jr. /Sr. high school program. The Coach MUST provide a selection document prior to the selection process, ensuring all participants understand the selection process.
  • The Head Coach reserves the right to deny participation in the Jr. /Sr. high school program if the participant does not follow the above guidelines.
  • Report all broken or damaged equipment to your coach.
