MIC MAC A.A.C. MASTERS PROGRAM
Mic Mac A.A.C. offers adult paddling programs that are open to individuals aged 25+. New (novice) and experienced paddlers of all abilities are welcome.
Participants may choose between competitive or recreational paddling programs. Coaching, with a focus on skills development and physical fitness, is provided with every program.
Use of equipment, including boats, paddles etc. is included in the registration fee. Participants should purchase their own “block” and have their own properly fitted PFD if necessary.
Anyone who enjoys fun physical activities, being on the water and learning about the sport should consider joining us. After paddling each Friday, we socialize in the Patterson Room with the option of a nice meal and some beverages to relax after practice.
The Masters program has novice class and experienced class paddlers.
There are two status regattas throughout the summer with the option of attending CANMAS on the Sunday immediately following the Canadian National Sprint Canoe Championships in late August.
Our season runs from Late April – mid-September.
Cold Water rules must be followed when the water temperature is less than 8 degrees. These rules will be posted in the boathouse and are on the Atlantic Division Website. www.adckc.ca
Practice days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
