About Us
Mic Mac Amateur Aquatic Club is a non-profit organization that fosters community development and family togetherness through social, recreational, and business endeavours. The versatility within this facility creates an outlet for members of all ages and abilities by providing them with healthy lifestyle alternatives both for their physical and mental well-being. Its goal orientated atmosphere creates a stimulus for members to strive to be the best they can be, while its intricate programs aspire to help change lives and instill the belief that anything is possible.
Mic Mac A.A.C. was established in 1923 to allow members of our community the opportunity to participate in aquatic sports on Lake Banook. Given the long history of our sport in Nova Scotia we have capitalized on the growth of our sport achieving such goals as producing many athletes who have been fortunate enough to earn spots on Olympic teams, World teams, Junior World teams, Canada Games teams and of course Canadian National Champions.
